A woman revisits a week of golden, ordinary moments with the man she loves — only for the audience to slowly realize they're watching the last days of a goodbye she never saw coming.

Behind the Lens

On "Memories," I served as both Director and Director of Photography, shot on location in the mountains of Southern California. The story journals a woman's recollections of the final week she spent with her husband — though the audience isn't meant to understand what they're truly watching until it's already too late. What plays like a tender collection of ordinary, intimate moments slowly reveals itself to be something far more devastating: a goodbye disguised as everyday life.

We shot on the Red Komodo X paired with Atlas Orion lenses, chasing a look built entirely around love and longing — warm, golden, sun-drenched light that feels less like footage and more like memory itself, the way a moment glows brighter in hindsight than it ever did while it was actually happening. That warmth became the film's quiet misdirection: everything is beautiful, everything feels safe, which is exactly what makes the eventual realization land so hard.
